How to play Pyramid Solitaire

Make Pyramid Solitaire your next activity in the game library. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Use the example below to understand a decision. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Remove all 28 pyramid cards. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Use one clear input at a time.

A useful example

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
